Era of the visionary, social consciousness shift

The creative have always been bridled by technology and the lack thereof... Even more than the everyday tasks of the common man, the creative process and expression of ideas have been constrained by the available tools and resources at any given time in history for all of humanity since it's inception. This has been true for the individual as well as larger social groups and has had obvious staggering impacts on consciousness, knowledge and the speed of development for mankind... From the concrete to the abstract, all facets of information, ideas and communication have been touched by these limitations... Tools and the skill/knowledge required to use them, as well as all techniques both mental and physical were painfully hindered by this process. The precious time required to learn and teach diminished much of what was available for most and perhaps still does for many today. Equally painful and slow to improve have been the extreme challenges of communication through recorded information for most of existence... Immense and immeasurable suffering have plagued mankind due to these limits and change has come at a miserable pace. Resulting weaknesses in mind and body for the human race (both individual and collective) are a powerful reflection of the damage done and a sign of the agonizing slow grind to today's world. But there is very good news and new hope. It's getting much better and much faster, building momentum and providing optimism that was until recently unimaginable.

A quick look at history reflects much of what i just outlined. "Age" and "Era" seem to be almost interchangeable and synonymous with maybe the only difference being that an "Age" could possibly be a longer unspecified time. Time periods as such in our existence seem to be measured by the technology relating to our general understandings and abilities with tools, materials and/or knowledge. This suggests the ongoing dynamic relationship between creativity and technology, whereby as the tech evolves so does the way we navigate our imaginative endeavors and the tools at our disposal. This started on a fundamental level with the simple scientific discovery of materials to build crude or simple tools, but has snowballed since to something with an incredible and unpredictable potential: The era of the visionary and a certain shift in social consciousness...
